Keta Municipal Director of Education halts exams for containing vulgar language.

Reading Time: < 1 minute

All public schools in the Keta Municipality have been directed to suspend the writing of end of term examinations which started last week.

According to details available to rymcitigh.com, the directive from the MDE stems from the fact that the Ewe question paper of Basic Six has a question that sought to denigrate the president of the republic. Question number 14 which reads “Dukplɔla la vlo ŋutɔ”, to wit  “The president is very ugly”, has been said to be unsavoury and indecent.

The MDE has also directed that the rest of the materials be locked up until further notice and the various Heads are to adhere to the directive.
