Charitable Fellows Foundation in collaboration with Green World Connect, an NGO based in Canada, has donated educational materials to tidal wave victims at Kedzikope in the Keta Municipality.
The Assembly Member for the area, Hon. Amenyo Quashigah was delighted about the gesture of the NGOs and indicated that the donation was timely. He used the opportunity to caution beneficiaries to make judicious use of the items.
The Project Manager for Charitable Fellows Foundation, Mr. Winfred Amegago, gave a brief history of the two NGOs and why it is important to carry out the exercise at the crucial moment. He indicated that since schools have resumed, some students, especially affected ones, will find it difficult to take off smoothly, hence the need to undertake the donation exercise.
A member of the community, Mr. Peter Hello (Oshogbo), stated that the learning materials of their kids were all destroyed during the disaster and that they were finding it difficult to get new ones. He further thanked the donors and urged them to do more.
One of the beneficiaries, Master Daniel Zowonu of Keta RC Basic School was full of joy and thanked the donors on behalf of all beneficiaries and promised to take care of the educational materials given them and also put them to good use.
The Founder and CEO of Charitable Fellows Foundation, Mr. Godwin Sena Agboworkunu, appreciated the community members, the Assembly Member and the beneficiaries for cooperating with them and making the exercise successful. He also used the opportunity to thank Mr. Fred Ogbemi of Green World Connect for his support for affected people in the Keta Municipality and looked forward to more collaborations between the two NGOs.
