It was a blend of spiritual and physical nourishment when the SDA Churches at Mawoekpor and Mafi Kumasi in the Adidome District were brought together under one umbrella for prayer, thanksgiving and praise service.
The move was to celebrate the lord’s blessings upon the members, His love and sustenance throughout the first quarter of 2021. Prayers were offered for thanksgiving and gratitude.
As part of the worship, the district in collaboration with the pastoral family, organized free NHIS Card Registration for the members of the community to help reduce the burden and the cost of seeking medical help. A total of eighty (80) registrations were made.
The medical team also checked members’ sugar levels, BP and weight. Health counsels were given and referrals were made for those whose vitals revealed they needed immediate medical attention. Clothing worth over thousands of Ghana Cedis was donated to the community
The indigenes of the areas in question expressed their appreciation to the church for coming to the community. They also thanked leaders of the church for exhibiting what they see as a true Christian relationship.
The Sabbath service was a historic and memorable worship experience for the residents of Mawoekpor township and the district. It was under the tutelage of Pastor Mordecai Mawutor Kporku, the Adidome District Pastor.
