Residents of Atiteti and Anyanui, communities located within the Anloga District of the Volta Region can now heave a sigh of relief over the reconstruction of the only steel bridge linking the two communities.

According to a report available to rymcitigh.com, the reconstruction of the deteriorated bridge received sponsorship from Ghana Gas Company Ltd. The project when completed will not only ensure safety but also enhance movement and connectivity for all of the users of the stretch, especially for school-going children.

On a visit to the site, Torgbui Nyaho Tamakloe VI, the Dufia of Whuti, disclosed that his paramountcy had been inundated with calls to get the bridge which hitherto had seen much deterioration, reconstructed to save the lives of the indigenes and commuters.

He therefore expressed gratitude to the residents for their patience and understanding during the time that the bridge was in a deteriorated state. He noted that their resilience and unwavering support have been truly remarkable.

The efforts of community leaders such as Torgbui Hatsu, Kofi Nyaho Tamakloe and Hon. Raphael Agbanavor have been acknowledged.

It would be recalled that the Atiteti broken-down bridge sadly led to the death of a four-year old child in the past which got the residents infuriated.
