Thief Rescued as he Fell into Bitumen Tank in an Attempt to Steal

Luck was not on the sides of a young man who went to steal bitumen but fell into the tank in the process.

According to reports, Emmanuel Gyimah, aged 25 and his accomplice, Bernard Koranteng, who are employees at E.N.H. Emotion Company, sneaked into the company’s premises at around 5:00 a.m. on Monday 31st August, 2020 to steal bitumen.

Fortunately and unfortunately, Emmanuel Gyimah fell into the bitumen tank. With the help of The Ghana Police Night Patrol team and personnel from the Ghana National Fire and Rescue Service, the security man and the manageress of the company rescued him.

The suspect was sent to the Afia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital for treatment.

After his discharge from the hospital, he was sent to the Kwesimintsim District Police Headquarters for arrest and possibly prosecution.

The second suspect, Bernard Koranteng, however is at large.
