The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Keta, Honourable Godwin Edudzi Effah has confirmed in a post on Facebook that, he has held a meeting with the engineers tasked to construct the much talked about Keta Landing Site, on Thursday, 6th August, 2020. Present at the meeting was the Assembly member for Keta Central.
He also revealed that plans are far advanced to upgrade the existing Keta Market.
“On Thursday, 6th of August 2020, I had a short meeting with the Engineers for the Construction of the KETA Landing Site with the Assembly Member for Keta central.
The meeting was held at the Keta market in other to see how best we can upgrade the existing market.
We also agreed to have a stakeholder consultation and Community Engagement in September before the commencement of the project”
The Keta Landing Site has been in the news after the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo promised that the construction would commence in December, 2019. This was confirmed in a speech read on his behalf by the Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Letsa at last year’s Hogbetsotso festival of the people of Anlo.
