Teachers and pupils of Bomigo E.P. Basic School in the Anloga District for several years have to cope with teaching and learning under very poor conditions. The teachers and pupils are forced to hold lessons in a dilapidated palm frond structure thereby exposing them to reptiles and hash weather conditions.
Thanks to Health Support Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisation, in two months has responded to the plights of the community by putting up a beautiful structure to be used by the KG department.
Bomigo E.P. Basic School is the only government school situated in Bomigo, an island community in the Anloga District. The school was established in the 1940’s, but as old as the school may seemed to be, it is still struggling to cope with the demands of modern-day education.

At the inauguration and handing over ceremony, the Headmaster of Bomigo EP Basic School, Mr Worlanyo Kodzo Awuku, thanked the Health Support Foundation for the rapid response to their plight and also called on other individuals and organisations to assist them in lifting the image of the school.
The Anloga District Director of Education who was the guest speaker,noted that, the new block constructed for the community would go a long way to better the performance of the pupils.
Bomigo is a deprived island community in the Anloga District that has been denied a fair share of the national cake. The community lacks the basic social amenities such as potable water and electricity.
