It was yet another exercise of democratic prowess as elections were conducted across the 16 regions of the country to elect new Council of State representatives.
The votes on the day proved decisive as Mr. Francis Seth Nyonyo gets his second chance to represent the region. He garnered nineteen votes to beat his closest competitor with a margin of two.
In all, nine aspirants contested.
Many are counting on the benevolence and the experience of the philanthropist to represent the region fairly as touted. It has always been said that his desire is to market the region to the best of his abilities.
In a related development, the Volta Chamber of Commerce and Industries has congratulated him for getting the nod once again. They also look forward to working with him for the industrialization agenda of the region to be achieved.
