Charitable Fellows Foundation, a non-governmental organization( NGO) based in Keta, has donated some teaching and learning materials worth over GHS 3,000.00 to the pupils of Adzato R.C Basic School located in the Anloga District, Volta Region, Ghana.
Materials donated include teaching materials, exercise books, pens, pencils, erasers, rule, dictionaries for their library amongst others. The donation was done to mark the NGO’s 3rd Anniversary Celebrations and the National Volunteer Day which fell on 21st September, 2021.
Members of the foundation in turns used the opportunity to educate the pupils on the importance of education to them as pupils or individuals, their families, the community, the district, the region and Ghana as a whole. The Headteacher of the school, Mr. Wonder Atukpa who was full of joy thanked members of the foundation for the great initiative.
He also used the opportunity to again appeal to government and other NGOs to emulate what Charitable Fellows Foundation has done. It is his wish that the government and the Ghana Education Service would post teachers to the school to augment the current staff strength.
He promised the group that all the teaching materials given to the school would be put to good use and kept well.
A pupil, Master Emmanuel Shikka, indicated that the donations was timely since some parents could not afford exercise books and other materials for their children since schools reopened.
The PTA Chairman, SMC Chairman and other members of the School’s Management team thanked the foundation and prayed that they continue to impact lives through their good works.
