As the world marked Teachers’ Day yesterday, Divine Kporha Charity Foundation, a foundation put together to help solve some pertinent issues confronting society has donated school uniforms to some pupils of Wenyagor M/A Primary School.
According to details sighted by rymcitigh.com, the move was part of efforts towards celebrating the future leaders in style and making them believe that they can also make in life. In all, thirty-six pupils who are not motivated to come to school in house dresses received the donations. The school which is located in the Keta Municipality of Volta Region has been facing a lot of challenges.
The occasion was used to inspire the pupils to remain focused and keep an eye on the ultimate source of hope. The foundation is also counting on the benevolence of sponsors to help provide adequate tables and chairs for studies, more school uniforms and a quick fixing of the bridge that links the community to the school.
Young teachers who have accepted postings to teach in the community thereby walking several kilometres and crossing water-logged areas to teach were also celebrated. A special citation was presented to Mr. Kennedy Hatekah for always attaching passion to his work.
