December Polls: Anloga, Keta, Ketu South et al identified as Hotspots.

With 44 days left for the December polls, the Ghana Police Service has released the lists of potential hotspots across the country. The lists covered 13 districts from the Volta Region. 

The areas identified have been carefully selected after the National Commission on Small Arms and Light Weapons spoke about the importance of the country leaving no stone unturned as the elections draw nearer. This would ensure that there is peace before, during and after the elections.

Other districts identified from the region are Akatsi South, Hohoe, Ho Central, Ketu North, South Dayi, Agotime Ziope, Central Tongu, South Tongu, Ho West and Kpando. The 2020 General Elections would be one of the fiercely contested elections in recent times. 

Details of 4,098 flashpoints nationwide have been provided by the Ghana Police Service to the National Election Security Taskforce. The move is to aid the service in making deployments across the length and breadth of the country on Elections Day.
