Robbery at NPP Volta Regional Chairman’s Gas Filling Station leaves security man dead.

Unknown assailants have killed a security man at Royal Energy Gas Filling Station, located at Tegbi-Hekpa in the Anloga District, Volta Region, Ghana.

According to details intercepted by rymcitigh.com, the victim, one Mr. Edem Kpodoga, who is believed to be in his fifty’s was attacked, tied and murdered while on duty. The sad incident occurred on Monday, 9th August, 2021 at dawn.

When rymcitigh contacted the District Commander of Police, Mr. Jordan Quaye and the Divisional Commander of Police, Chief Superintendent Leonard Abakah on the issue, they revealed that investigations are underway to arrest the perpetrators of the gruesome act. Sources also revealed that the Volta Regional Command of the Ghana Police Service has sent officers from the Regional Headquarters to speed up the investigation process.

It has been alleged that an undisclosed amount of money was stolen. The CEO of the Royal Energy Gas Filling Station and the NPP Volta Regional Chairman, Mr Makafui Woanya, was really sad about the incident and promised to give ¢30,000.00 to anyone who would help in tracking the criminals.

The police are also pleading with the general public to help provide useful information to arrest the criminals.
